Home from Victoria

I made a few stops on the way home from Victoria - first at Goldstream Park.

I wanted to see if the salmon were spawning. There were a few - I hope there are lots more to come.

The late afternoon sun was highlighting the entrance to the park.

Then I stopped at the lookout at the top of the Malahat. This is a zoomed view of Mt. Baker and the Saanich Peninsula in the foreground.

Then I tool a short detour to Cowichan Bay.

Cow Bay is rather tacky touristy..... I passed these planters walking down to the water......

There is a little park at the north end of Cowichan Bay where you can look back at the boats.

Looking the other way, towards Duncan. I imagine these poles used to be used for tying up log booms.....
